So, I lied earlier. I’m not going to update this site until I get home on the 29th. Its too expensive, and Im too busy, and I cant find the damned apostrophe on these Italian computers.
Whoops, I lied again. Im not really busy, strictly speaking. Im well-fed and sun-burnt and having a lovely time biking through Tuscany, where everything is lovely and perfect all the time. The birds twitter here, and the sun blazes, and fruits are always in season, and the castles crumble picturesquely, and the hills are colored just so, and the mustachioed grandmothers gather in the piazzas to play bocce and talk about the old times. My mind is at least 25% occupied with home, but 75% (there’s the damned apostrophe) of Tuscany is probably more than I can handle anyway.
The next few weeks: train to Rome, train to Sorrento. Bike the Amalfi coast. Boat from Naples to Sicily. Spend a week biking around Sicily. Camp on the flanks of Mt. Etna. Return home. Play with dog, see friends, find an apartment, turn 30, begin life afresh.
